Patient Education Site for BPA-Free Sealant
Ultradent’s customer feedback system has been so helpful for keeping abreast of issues our customers face. Through this online system, we’ve received quite a few inquiries about Bisphenol-A content in our pit and fissure sealant, UltraSeal XT plus. It’s interesting that we even receive these questions from patients/consumers directly. This Bisphenol-A topic seems to come in and out of fashion for consumer media, who tend to report that BPA content is the rule, not the exception. In reality, only one competitive manufacturer’s sealant material contains Bisphenol-A.
Nevertheless, the public is concerned, so we want to help support dentists in reassuring their patients. We have just posted a Web page at http://www.ultradent.com/bpa-free. Dentists who provide sealants with UltraSeal XT plus can link to this page from their own Websites in a text link or with the logo at right. (To download, right-click and “Save Picture As,” then provide the image to your Webmaster for placement on your site.)
